The two apartments are located in the French town of Belfort and were projects undertaken by arbr architecture. The first property, which is part of a building dating from 1900, has been completely renovated. The rooms in the dwelling were arranged in an open style by knocking down and repositioning walls and relining the ceiling. This design beautifully showcases our glass switches with Bakelite inserts as well as our porcelain ceiling lights. The second property is a suite within an apartment. Renovation work including the installation of a bathroom made the suite completely self-contained, enabling our glass switches with Bakelite inserts to fit elegantly into this space, too.
“The various materials and colours used in the projects had a very strong visual effect. For example, the graphic cement tiles with crosses in the bathroom or the polka dot tiles in the kitchen were very striking. That’s why we chose these light and airy electrical products as a subtle and sensitive addition.”
