Sinks Stoneware

Sinks Stoneware

Swiss wash basin and sink. Made of stoneware.

Stoneware fired at much higher temperatures than the competing "earthenware" has become very rare in the home. The highly sintered material is particularly robust, frost-resistant, heat- and acid-resistant, and is "waterproof" on its own, whereas stoneware needs a glaze to become so. The following washbasins for the bathroom and the sink for the (outdoor) kitchen made of porcelain stoneware are made for use in public buildings, schools, hospitals, laboratories and doctors' offices. The sinks are still cast in their original Swiss molds and then dried, glazed and fired in a bogie hearth kiln at approximately 1180°C. The backs are in favor of easier assembly. They are assembled using hanger bolts; brackets are not required. All washbasins can also be placed as an attachment on a properly sized washbasin. The matching accessories - a brass drain (1 ½'' x 80 mm) with rubber seal and stainless steel strainer insert - are supplied with the unit. Detailed assembly instructions are enclosed in each case.
