Bolich sewing machine light black
Some lights impress with their sheer size; this sewing machine light, on the other hand, manages to fascinate despite - or perhaps because of - its miniature appearance. The name refers to the original use of the shade, which is only 7 cm in diameter, in work lights on sewing machines. Bolichwerke, based in Odenheim, Germany, since 1919, has now given this shade a new life as a pendant lamp. As in the past, it still provides focussed light today and is therefore suitable in its new form (especially when arranged in groups) for accentuating lighting scenarios.
This light comes with a shade, proportionally matching canopy and textile cable all in black as standard. On request, we can fit one of our textile cables in a different colour. The lampshade and canopy are made of aluminium and are also available in white (with white textile cable).

Bolich lights: Classics from Baden.
Since the early days of Manufactum, we have enjoyed a friendly relationship with the "Bolichwerke", which have been based in Odenheim, Baden, since 1919. Bolich is one of the few manufacturers of classic residential lighting still active in Germany, while its former competitors have all taken refuge in the illumination of stores and public buildings. To manufacture the shades, Bolich still operates its own metal spinning shop, for which mold making also takes place under its own roof. The metal shades are not wet-painted, but powder-coated, i.e. stove-enamelled, which is the most durable and color-fast finishing of metal surfaces after porcelain glazing/enameling. So not only because of old ties, but also because they are rarely beautiful and high quality lights: Some Bolich classics.
