Brass thermostat with connection to shower hose
We have fitted this shower faucet with levers and handles that fit into our star handle series, but the internal workings have remained unchanged. The thermostat can either be connected to a shower hose or a large shower head with exposed rods. The shower hose is connected to the lower ½” external thread. The rods for the large shower head are connected to the upper outlet port with a ½" x ¾" reducer. The port, which is not required, is blocked with a plug at either the top or the bottom during installation. The faucet includes a thermostatic cartridge and integrated return flow inhibitor.
Temperature and flow are controlled separately. The porcelain lever opens and closes the water supply; the star handle controls temperature. The temperature is pre-set at 41°C. The temperature can be changed manually. The thermostatic valve will reliably keep the chosen temperature within + / - 2°C, even when water pressure changes. In case of cold water supply failure, hot water supply is automatically closed off to avoid any danger of scalding. The surface of the faucet does not become hot, thereby avoiding the risk of burns.

Two-hand fittings. Cast brass. First class in every detail.
Each faucet has a truly heavy body of solid brass, permanently finished with an insensitive two-layer chrome plating of nickel and chrome to protect against corrosion and wear. The resulting high-gloss effect is perfected by subsequent hand polishing. The faucets feature precisely regulating valve control: unsurpassed durable ceramic discs of diamond-like hardness and reduced sliding surface reliably regulate the water jet. All cartridges are easily replaceable without the aid of a special tool. The valves are tested with a service life of 500,000 operating cycles. The valves are tested with respect to the following requirements: Tightness, mechanical and hydraulic process, mechanical wear behavior, quality of the chrome-plated surface, noise behavior, dimensions. Before delivery, each valve is subjected to a further quality control, where it is tested for leakage on a test bench with water flow. We pay attention to material fidelity also in details: even the inserts in the cross handles - labeled in German - are made of porcelain (and not, as usual, of white plastic). The fittings can be completely disassembled into their individual parts, and thus each component is replaceable. The taps are suitable for pressure accumulators as well as for thermally and hydraulically controlled instantaneous water heaters.
